Ministry to Children

Kristy Raley
Children's Ministry Leader

At Western Hills, we believe the most effective way to learn a language or way of life is through immersion. We believe that the children are not only the church of tomorrow, but that they are an integral part of the church today. The children at our church are deeply involved in worship and play an important role in the leading of worship by singing, praying, reading scripture, responsive readings, and other leadership roles in the service.

In the classroom

Our children are also part of age-specific classes on Sunday mornings. We offer age-specific activities and learning, stressing the importance of bible stories, as well as the value of the Christian traditions we hold dear at our church. We also place a strong emphasis on making Sunday School a safe and comfortable environment for our children. All of our children's teachers and workers have completed a safety/background check to ensure the safest possible learning environment.
We also have an Extended Session for those ages birth to 4 years old during the service in order for you to be able to attend worship. Children ages 5 and older will attend the service, and we have worship bags for them with coloring sheets and puzzles that have to do with the sermon and a book that tells them of God's love

Throughout the Year

Through mission projects, social gatherings and summer vacation bible school, our students learn to continually grown in their faith. If you have any questions about children and ministry at WHCC, please contact the church office.
