Good Friday Morning!
Last Sunday we had a great #bringyour1 service. We had 5 guests who were with us for worship directly due to a simple friendly invitation. We had one of our children invite a friend, you may have noticed the little girl dressed in pink sining on Sunday, she was an invited guest! I have heard from several others that they invited people who did not come for one reason or another. This is a HUGE WIN for our church. We are the 'pipeline' where people enter the church. Our invitations to other are so powerful and will be the primary activity to move our church into the future. I fully believe that God has a plan and purpose of our church here at 8500 Chapin. We will have another #bringyour1 day on Christmas Eve. We have an invite card printed and on the way, so start praying for someone you can invite to either or 3.15pm (kids focused) or 5pm (candlelight) Christmas Eve service. We will have a cookie and cocoa fellowship between services. Christmas time is a great time to invite people to church! Start praying about someone to invite to Christmas Eve or one of our advent services, #bringyour1.

I read this article about emotional intelligence and found it very helpful and interesting. I think something we neglect is tending to our own emotional intelligence.

Here is a podcast that I found very helpful to our church situation. I think the point of continuing to return to the great commission is very important.

[16] Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
[17] And when they saw him they worshiped him,
but some doubted. [18] And Jesus came and said
to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me. [19] Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always,
to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:16-20 ESV)

I am praying that the Lord bless and refreshes you this Christmas season, and on Thanksgiving Day I will be giving thanks for each of you.

Onward!
