I am so looking forward to being back in church Sunday after our vacation. I have been working on a message about being in God's Waiting Room that I am excited to share with you. I think it is a message our church can identify with and I am praying it will be helpful to your walk with Jesus.
We are heading down to drop off Dane on Thursday at BU. Many of you have gone through this and remember how packed with emotions this time is. Kelly and I greatly appreciate your prayers.
I found this article to be surprisingly helpful and practical: http://www.inc.com/marcel-schwantes/these-31-life-hacks-can-improve-your-life-in-just-a-month.html
If you have been through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and would like to lead a class at our church, please let me know. I think classes such as this would be a great offering for our community.
This post caught my eye since our Welcome Center is complete. Maybe we need to develop a Guest Services team - http://chucklawless.com/2016/08/10-first-impressions-done-well-in-churches/
Remember on 9/11 we will have a special service thanking and praying for our first responders. We have printed invite cards to start handing out to our neighbors that you can pick up on Sunday in the Welcome Center. Personal invitation still is the best and most effective way to have people come to our church.
Finally, if you find yourself in need of some 'coaching' give me a call and we can tackle what you are dealing with in a positive way.
Let me know how I can pray for you.
See you Sunday!
