Chris loves Western Hills because it is both a forgiving and welcoming place. Chris has been pastor here since 2007 and loves Fort Worth – the cool side of the Metroplex. Chris is a native of Virginia and graduated from Baylor with a B.B.A. in Management. He completed the Master of Divinity degree at Truett Seminary in 2000 and Doctor of Ministry degree at Truett Seminary in 2007. Chris has been married to Kelly since 1993 and they have three great kids, Dane, Lana and Kannon. In his spare time Chris can be found dreaming of hiking in the Colorado mountains, coaching lacrosse, reading a good book or working in the yard. He has the firm belief that Trader Joes has the best coffee around.

Barry began his service at Western Hills in November 2010, as interim music minister and became our "Official" Music Minister in June 2011. A graduate of Wayland Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he came to us having served many Southern Baptist churches during thirty-five years of ministry.
Keeping all their work on the Westside of Fort Worth, is a priority for Barry and Ann, his wife of thirty-six years. Western Hills Primary School takes the bulk of Barry's time during the week, where he teaches music. His biggest fear is welcoming parents to Western Hills Community Church, at a PTA meeting!
Barry and Ann reside in Weatherford, very close to their son, Adam and his wife Mende. They have three grandsons who bring many days of joy to their lives. Their daughter, Jana, lives in Fort Worth and was married in April 2011.
If you don't find Barry in the music classroom, or leading worship, he is probably working in his yard, golfing or piloting a Cessna 182, with a friend , in the skies over north or central Texas. He is also an active member in the Singing Men of North Central Texas. His ministry in song has taken him to Scotland, China, Europe and Russia on partnership missions and eight years he spent singing with the nationally acclaimed, Grammy nominated chorus, The Centurymen, Buryl Red, conductor.
Children's Ministry Leader
Kristy started attending Western Hills in 2012 while living in Fort Worth for an internship. After completing her degree in Biomedical Engineering at LeTourneau University, she came back for good in June 2013. She spends a lot of her time at her day job as an engineer for Ulterra Drilling Technologies. Being raised by a children's librarian mother, Kristy has had lots of experience serving children and their families. Throughout various points in high school and college, she has worked as a science teacher, camp counselor, and children's church worship leader.
Kristy enjoys trying new things and therefore has no permanent hobbies. However, she does love to read, swing dance, learn new crafts, and dye her hair new colors. Her favorite Bible character is Elijah because his story proves that God can use people to do His great work even when they are scared. She lives in a tiny apartment with two snuggly cats named Calcifer and Polly.
