The dog days of summer are here! I love summer and opportunities to meet new people and spend time with family. Have you been able to do a RAC (Random Act of Kindness)? June is our RAC month in response to our Miracle of Mercy study. Please email me at ccobb@westernhills.life to share your story!
All of us have good and bad day's on the job. I can remember watching a Zig Ziglar video once when he said if you don't love your job, people will find out quickly and you won't have that job to hate anymore. Here is an article to help your job, it probably would translate to a position of service or volunteer ministry as well.
Here is an interesting article about healthy communication, something we can all benefit from!
The Entreleadership Podcast is a weekly listen for me. This podcast with Zoro the Drummer was surprisingly one of the best I have ever heard.
And to keep you smiling and happy, check out this video.
One of the reasons I send out these emails is to encourage you to keep growing and developing. I love to help people grow and develop game plans so they can win. If you feel stuck or need to make a plan and get some traction in life...I would love to visit with you about 'coaching.' Everyone needs a coach from time to time and with the training I have it is one way I can serve you and our church.

I can't believe that our Miracle of Mercy spiritual growth campaign is in its final week. If you think about it, we are really just beginning the Miracle of Mercy journey. What an incredible privilege to be able to give out God's mercy to others every day. Our Connection Group started a list of people who need to experience God's mercy and we all committed to praying for these people. When the question was posed 'who is going to be in heaven because of you?' we all felt the weight of that responsibility and decided to start praying about it.
Here is a good article about keeping our focus on reaching people as the world changes so rapidly.
In a couple of weeks we are going to start a study on one of my favorite books (forgive me Martin Luther) in the bible, James. You might enjoy reading the book through a few times in the next weeks, there is some great spiritual growth material in James.
I like to think of myself as an optimist - fellow optimists enjoy these quotes.
I found this short video that shows the essence of Celebrate Recovery. Take a couple of minutes to look at it and pray for our church and how we can be involved in this ministry of helping people with addictions discover freedom in Jesus Christ.
And finally - just some laughs in this video. Pray on!
